The German-speaking lodge of the Grand Lodge of Luxembourg began its work on 28 June 1997, the culmination of a project that had been planned since 1978. 

It works to a rite derived from that of the Großloge der Alten und Angenommenen Maurer von Deutschland. It meets on the second Tuesday of the month.
